Jenni is a lifetime supporter of and innovator within public education. She has over 30 years experience teaching grades K-5 in three different states, CA, MA, and WI. A strong proponent of kinesthetic pedagogy, she recognizes that movement is the ticket to optimal brain function and emotional regulation. She has created a Kinesthetic Learning Lab, a prototype classroom with kid-sized exercise equipment, where students have freedom of movement to explore and integrate academic content. Coupled with this kinesthetic practice, Jenni teaches K-5 emotional intelligence lessons. For adults, she provides “Culturally Responsive Kinesthetic Classroom” training to various schools within her district.
When she is not teaching, Jenni enjoys line dancing, cooking, camping and cycling. She is on the Board of Madison Unicyclists, and also teaches unicycling after school. She directs the Threshold Singers of Madison, a group of volunteers who sing bedside for people who are seriously ill or dying. Jenni lives in Madison, WI with her partner Elizabeth and their Pandemic Rescue Kitty, Squirt.
Jenni graduated with her BA from Presbyterian College before completing her Masters in Cross Cultural Studies at Fuller Theological Seminary. She also completed her teaching certification at Pacific Oaks College.
